Studio Quantum | Berlin

November 2024

Installation view of artists’ Open Studio Installation at Künsterlhaus Bethanien

As part of Studio Quantum residency program artists, Kerrie O’Leary (Ireland) and Petja Ivanova (Bulgaria) were paired together to explored intersections of quantum phenomena, ecology, and speculative futures.

Through iridescent projections, water-splitting experiments, and cyanotypes of myths from Ireland and Bulgaria, they invite you to immerse yourself in the fluid interplay of quantum ideas and cultural narratives. As an active observer, your presence shapes the experience - welcome to our Open Studio !

Kerrie and Petja were paired to collaborate for this residency as part of an initiative sponsored by Studio Quantum, Goethe-Institut Irland, Akademie der Künste and Zeitgeist Irland 24

Together, they delved into themes such as hydrofeminism, hyperobjects, mythology, and the iridescent nature of water, investigating the hidden energy within natural systems and the impact of emerging quantum technologies.
